This international society, formed in 1957, by a group of eminent gardeners and nurserymen has members in the UK and overseas.
Alan Bloom MBE VMH was a founder member, first chairman and President of the Society from 1975 until his death in 2005. He founded Blooms of Bressingham Nurseries and was the prime mover along with Arthur Hellyer, Will Ingerwersen and John Sambrook, in the society's formation in 1957.
