Wild, Weird and Wonderful: ten plant species that should be in every garden
Tom Mitchell of Evolution Plants
Tom is an enthusiastic plantsman and aspiring nurseryman, his favourite genera include Actaea, Crocus, Cyclamen, Epimedium, Galanthus, Helleborus, Hepatica, Paeonia, Thalictrum and Veratrum. He travels widely to photograph and collect plants and seeds in the wild and has collected extensively in Europe, especially the Balkans, southern Africa, the USA and South East Asia. When not travelling he spends his time gardening and proselytising the merits of growing species plants in gardens. The Glory of Colour

A lecture about planting design, plant association and how to use the colour wheel. Laura is an associate member of the Landscape Institute and a member of the Society of Garden Designers; also an official lecturer for NADFAS, the National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies. In 1993 she won a position as Senior Lecturer in Landscape Architecture at the School of Architecture and Landscape at Kingston University, and in 2001 was appointed Course Director in Garden Design. www.lauradebeden.co.uk
