Reason for Inclusion
Bred by Jennifer Hewitt, British Iris Society Registrar and named for her son-in-law. Registered in 2003. Awarded an RHS AGM in 2008 and the Dykes Medal in 2011 by the British Iris Society.

Brief description of plant
Rhizomatous herbaceous perennial.

Flowers
Standards: lilac-pink. Falls: pinkish-red with small white signals edged violet. Style arms: pale pink and turquoise.

Deciduous. Narrow grassy foliage.

Pests and diseases
Generally no problems.

Cultivation
Benefits from application of organic mulch in spring. Remove spent flower stems and any dying foliage.
