We also have a library of slides and images that members can borrow for lectures etc.
Photographs of HPS stands at various shows can be found in the Shows section.
There are also photographs of plants connected with the HPS Conservation Scheme in the Conservation section.
Some groups also have a page of photographs in their own group area.
If you have any photographs that you think will be of interest to us and which you would like to see on this website, why not send them to us. We are particularly looking for informal photographs of HPS members enjoying themselves or looking at gardens but no portraits or groups of people looking at the camera please (unless you've just won a Gold Medal or something similar). We are quite flexible about picture size for informal photographs although it would help us if we knew who the group were and where the picture was taken.
We also welcome high quality photographs of specific plants and formal pictures of show stands. For this type of photograph, all plants must be named and the photograph should be between 1024 and 2047 pixels along the longest edge. Larger pictures are welcome but will be resized to allow for a reasonable download time. Please also ensure that any date and/or time that the camera has placed on the picture does not obscure the composition. We would prefer pictures without dates on them.
Do not superimpose any text onto the pictures. You may send plant names and any other details as a separate text file if you do not wish to rename every picture. We will be happy to credit the photographer but please make sure that we do not confuse the name of the photographer with the name of the plant cultivar.
Please email the photos to webpages@hardy-plant.org.uk
Photographs must be your own or you must have the photographers permission to send them. Unless you state otherwise, we will assume that you have copyright and are giving us permission to place them on this site and enter them into the HPS image library.
