Romsey Agricultural Show - HPS Hampshire Group
The Hardy Plant Society’s Hampshire Group was successful for the third year running at the Romsey Agricultural Show in winning a Large Gold medal for their display of pots containing a variety of late summer perennials.
Each of the pots was colour coordinated with flowers and foliage for late summer and autumn interest. The display comprised twelve large terracotta pots with many smaller individual pots containing plants of interest such as Eucomis vandermerwei and Eucomis zambesiaca.
The display of photos, leaflets, journals, newsletters and the HPS Specialist Group information on the stand proved of great interest to the public.
A small team of the Hampshire HPS Group comprising Sue Ward, who designed the pots, Jennifer Harmer who put together the informational side of the stand ably assisted by Dave Ward and Mark & Anne Lyman.
