Leaves may be damaged by slugs and snails or adult vine weevils, whilst weevil grubs may eat away the rhizome.

Remove dead foliage and cut back elongated stems to keep plant tidy.

Propagate by rooting pieces of stem/rhizome detached from the main plant.
