Bred by Jennifer Hewitt, British Iris Society Registrar and named for her late husband. Registered in 2003. Awarded an RHS AGM in 2005 and the Dykes Medal in 2008 by the British Iris Society.

Brief description of plant
Rhizomatous herbaceous perennial. A deliberate cross between I. ‘Coronation Anthem’ and I. ‘Golden Edge’.

Flowers
Flower stems bear 3-4 buds per stem and are a rich violet-blue with a thin gold edge to the falls and a rich gold central signal.
