Deciduous small shrub with open habit.

Clusters of small yellow flowers with prominent stamens. Red berries turning black in autumn.
Bright lime green in spring, darkening later in the season.
May - June (berries July-Sept)
Pests and diseases
Foliage may be disfigured by rust if dry.
Best in light shade where the brightness of spring foliage can be appreciated. Prune hard in early spring to promote new foliage.
Soft or semi-ripe cuttings will root easily.
