Reason for Inclusion
Unusual variegated form of a popular plant.

Plant grown by HPS member for a long time corresponds with description and image on internet from Millrace Nursery, Garforth, Leeds and Master-Standen Nursery in Germany.

Brief description of plant
Compact clump-forming evergreen perennial.

Height x Spread
30cm x 40cm

White, cruciform flowers borne in clusters.

Evergreen. Lanceolate, grey-green leaves with cream edge.

Flowering Time
April - May

Soil type
Neutral to alkaline soil. Free-draining.

Full sun or part-shade. Suitable for border edge, rock garden or trough.

Pests and diseases
Like all brassicas they can be susceptible to flea beetle damage which appears as small holes in the leaves. Club root can be a problem if the soil is too acid.

Remove any shoots that have reverted to plain green.

Semi-ripe cuttings root easily without heat. Pieces of rooted stem can be detached and grown on.
