| Saturday 6 January, 2018 12-00pm to 3-00pm New Year Social at The Cloisters, 36 High Street, Bembridge, PO35 5SE. Please bring a plate of savoury or sweet food for 6 people (there are no food heating facilities). Also, if you wish, there will be a small competition of small posies of fresh flowers from your gardens. The posies will be judged by everyone present and the winner will receive a prize. |
| Saturday 17 February, 2018 2-00pm to 4-00pm AGM to be followed by a talk on the 'HPS Conservation Scheme' by Helen. At the Hunnyhill Room, Riverside Centre, Newport. Refreshments provided. Free raffle. |

| Wednesday 4 July, 2018 2-00pm Meeting at Gerry Price's garden and a visit to her nursery. The visit to Gerry's garden will last about 30 to 40 minutes, then after about a 10 minute drive we will arrive at the nursery The Coastal Gardener, Fakenham Farm, Eddington Road, St. Helens, PO33 1XS. (website) Parking at Gerry's house is limited to 1 or 2 cars, otherwise there is parking on the tarmac part of the road. The visit to the nursery should take about 45 minutes to an hour, and there is a cafe there which can supply tea and cake. Plant swap. |

| 29th March, 2017 time TBC (Evening) 'My Chelsea Story' Matthew Wilson The Riverside Centre, Trafalgar Room. This talk will be based on Matthew's experience of designing a Chelsea Flower Show garden, and will refer to the relocation of one of the gardens to the Isle of Wight Hospice. As well as designing gardens for Chelsea. Matthew worked for the RHS as curator at Hyde Hall garden and then at Harlow Carr. Subsequently he became RHS Head of Gardens Creative Design. He is now a regular participant on Radio 4's Gardener's Question Time.More can be found about his work on www.matthewwilsongardens.com There will be an admission charge of £8. |

| Date TBC Eddington Nursery Plant Fair We hope to have a stand at this event. At present the date is not fixed but it is likely to be at the end of May. Please let Clare know if you are able to help with the stand. |
| 22nd June, 2017 Mainland trip to Tylney Hall Hotel Garden, Rotherwick, Hook, Hants RG27 9AZ. This RHS Partner Garden has extensive grounds and landscaped gardens including gardens designed by Gertrude Jekell and Selden Wornum. A group tour of the gardens has been arranged led by one of the gardeners, for which there will be a charge of £10 per person, including tea or coffee. A visit to a nursery is also planned. Please let Clare know if you are interested in coming and indicate if you are happy to be a car driver. |
